Everyone loves to dress for the season. Even Keystone mac & cheese.
We already know that our Buffalo Bleu and BBQ & Bacon mac & cheeses have amazing flavor that would surprise and delight Holiday goers. But it still needs to dress the part. And for that, we’ve got a few tips on how to spruce up your Keystone mac & cheese for the holidays.
Focus on the Flavor Profiles
We’ve already put a huge amount of effort and love into building complex flavor profiles that work for your palette. So the key is to be festive without blowing it on the flavor. For that, we’ve got a few suggestions.
Go Green. And Red.
Adding greenery, and redness is an easy way to make a dish say, “Hey, I’m ready for the Holiday.” Here are a few quick tips in prepping your Keystone:
- Get a holiday serving dish. If you don’t have one, hit the party store for a simple solid red or green serving dish.
- Top it with red and green bell peppers. The cool thing about bell peppers is that when you slice them across, they make interesting shapes. Use this to your advantage to garnish the top of either Buffalo Bleu or BBQ & Bacon mac & cheese. The flavors will pop and snap, and will complement the flavor profile. Make your slices thin, as you’re going for garnish, not overpowering flavor.
- Keystone Buffalo Bleu mac & cheese can be complemented with a handful of other decorative greenery. One obvious choice is celery, which is always a natural complement to Buffalo sauce. Again, make sure your pieces are bite-sized as you garnish the top.
- If you’re not much of a celery fan, try chives, parsley or green onions. Any of these can also work as a topping for our Buffalo Bleu mac & cheese.
